Upper Mantua Creek Watershed

Upper Mantua Creek Watershed

Located in Watershed Management Area 18, the Upper Mantua Creek flows from south to north in Gloucester County toward the Delaware River. The study area focuses on the upper portions of the Upper Mantua Creek, its streams and tributaries and all the lands draining to these streams. The watershed encompasses a total area of 7.29 square miles with 12.85 linear miles of watercourse. The main stem drains approximately two-thirds of this area with the remainder draining through Duffield Run. The downstream terminus of the project area is just below Bethel Lake Dam on Lambs Road (County Route #635). Five municipalities: Glassboro Borough, Mantua Township, Monroe Township, Pitman Borough and Washington Township, contain lands within the watershed.
